Basically, I love to make stuff, particularly with fabric. I have been infatuated with fabric and sewing for as long as I can remember.  At a young age I was completely aware that my life would need to revolve around doing something creatively productive. I find the whole design process, from conception to completion to be so gratifying . The only real problem I consistently run into is time.  My unending idea list always seems to outweigh my time available.   Over the years, I've been involved with some imaginative and extra creative business adventures  that allowed me to constantly dream up new projects and see them through, which proved to be really fantastic for me. I believe that if you are of the creative mindset, you are continuously trying to organize your energy into something that represents originality. In 2004 I opened my shop karen gray design in an attempt to give my work a sense of meaning and order. As a result I have been overwhelmed with wonderful positive feedback and I am so thankful for all of it. The internet is an amazing thing. I live in North Carolina. I have a wonderfully supportive husband and two pretty exceptional kids, and a black lab named Thelma, who we all adore. I plan to continue my sewing venture and look forward to creating fresh & spectacular goods for my shop.  Fun times ahead.
